Radio BOB!

Radio Bob (proper spelling: Radio BOB!) is a radio station operated by Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG. Its coverage area is mainly Hesse, but can also be received throughout Germany via DAB+. There is also a northern German offshoot, Radio Bob Schleswig-Holstein. With a daily reach of 2.5%, Radio Bob is one of the largest private radio stations in Germany. Around 1.74 million people listen to it every day. The core target group is the 14-49 age group. Radio Bob mainly broadcasts rock music, but also offers news and service reports (e.g. traffic reports).

The programme also includes its own app (myBOB!) and various podcasts, which highlight the history of various rock bands, for example. In 2023, the rock band Fury in the Slaughterhouse produced the live podcast "Radio Orchid" with Radio Bob.

Radio Bob is a radio station of Radio Bob GmbH & Co. KG, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG. Regiocast is therefore the sole limited partner of the KG. The general partners are separate administrative GmbHs, which take the place of the personally liable partner.
Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG has a total of 19 limited partners, including both media companies and private individuals. The largest shareholder is medien holding:nord (25%), a subsidiary of NOZ MEDIEN Verlags GmbH.
For technical reasons, shares of less than one per cent cannot be shown. However, due to its participation in several media companies, small shares are also significant. Through their shares in Heinrich Beteiligungs GmbH, they are shareholders in Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG and thus also shareholders of Radio Bob.

At the end of 2007, Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG acquired 49 per cent of the shares in the Hessian local radio station SkyRadio, a service offered by Sky Radio Hessen GmbH & Co. KG. The station was subsequently rebranded as Radio Bob! in 2008. In 2009, Regiocast also acquired the remaining shares, whereupon the company was renamed Radio Bob GmbH & Co. KG. Radio Bob Verwaltungs GmbH serves as the general partner.
