Logo of Radio Hamburg

Radio Hamburg is a private radio station based in Hamburg and is one of the local radio stations with the widest reach in Germany. Since its founding in 1986, the station has established itself as a fixture in the North German radio landscape. With its focus on current hits, entertainment, and regional news, Radio Hamburg appeals primarily to a young to middle-aged audience. The program consists of music, local service information, news, comedy formats, and popular shows such as the "Radio Hamburg Morningshow." The station reaches around one million listeners in Hamburg and the surrounding area every day, making it the market leader in the region. Founded by Bauer Media, the film production company UFA GmbH and Axel Springer. Bauer Media Group and Axel Springer continue to hold major shares in the media outlet.

Thanks to its strong local roots, the station is also regularly involved in social projects, such as the "Listeners Help Children" campaign. Among the station's well-known voices is John Ment, one of the longest-serving presenters on German private radio. Despite increasing competition from streaming services, Radio Hamburg is successfully holding its own in the digital transformation through web radio, apps, and podcasts.
