The Ohnesorge family

The Ohnesorge family holds 7 percent of shares in Antenne Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG and, through Gebhard Ohnesorge GbR and Ohnesorge II GbR, holds stakes in various radio stations and online media. The family holds shares in Gebhard Ohnesorge GbR through stakes of 25 percent each held by Ulrike, Bettina, and Gebhard Ohnesorge, totaling 75 percent. The remaining 25 percent is held by Patricia Bickert. She is also the sole shareholder of Ohnesorge GbR II. The formative figure is lawyer and media entrepreneur Gebhard Ohnesorge, who, as co-founder of Antenne Thüringen and founding managing director of Radio/Tele FFH, ranks among the pioneers of private radio broadcasting in Germany. Through his engagement in the establishment of Antenne Thüringen, the family is among the formative minority shareholders of the station.

Antenne Thüringen has been broadcasting since 1993 and, with daily reach in the high six figures, ranks among the leading private radio stations in the state. The shareholder structure is broadly diversified, with significant stakes held by Suhler Verlagsgemeinschaft, Verlag Dierichs, RTL Group, and PFD Pressefunk GmbH. In this context, the Ohnesorge family represents the continuity of founding families and is closely connected to the history of the private radio landscape in Germany.
